Location

NIWC is located in Rockford, Illinois at the corner of Broadway and 10th Street. The clinic is located in a large brick and limestone building on the top floor. The parking lot is located on 10th street and is for the private use of the clinic. Commonly there are people on the corner or the sidewalk protesting. Ignore them. Do not stop. They cannot follow you into the parking lot or come into the building. If you have a problem or can’t find us, call (815) 963-4101!

To Reach this location from:

1. South of Rockford: Reach I-39 and travel north to the junction with bypass US 20. Go west on US 20, (This is the route to 5 Rockford exits, or “To Freeport”.) Go 2 1/2 miles west to the 11th street exit. Go “right” or north on 11th street about 2 miles. Broadway is one block past 15th Ave. Turn left (west) on Broadway, and go 2 blocks to 10th street. NIWC is on your right, on the corner.
   
    
2. Southwest of Rockford: You may be coming up highway 2 instead of I-39. In that case, take highway 2 to intersect with US 20. Take US 20 East to the 11th street exit, and proceed as in the instructions for South of Rockford.
   
    
3. West of Rockford: Coming from the west on US 20, follow bypass US 20 to the 11th street exit. Then follow the instructions as in coming from the South. If you miss the bypass, come into Rockford on business US 20, follow business US 20 across the river to 6th street. Turn right (south) on 6th street and follow it one mile to Broadway. Turn left on Broadway and continue 4 blocks to Broadway and 10th street.
   
    
4. Southeast of Rockford: ( Chicago, Elgin, etc.) Take I-90 north to Rockford. Get off at the first US 20 (bypass 20), exit. (This says “To Freeport”). Follow bypass US 20 to 11th Street exit. Follow instructions as in #1, “South of Rockford” above. If you miss bypass US 20, get off at the next exit (business US 20) “The Clock Tower) and go west on State Street. Follow instructions as in #5 (“North of Rockford”).
   
    
5. North of Rockford: Take I-90 south to the business US 20 exit (Clock Tower). The first Rockford exit is Riverside. Don’t take it. Business US 20 (State Street) is the 2nd Rockford exit. Take State St. west to Perryville Road. (There is a Lowe’s on the right, a Sams and Walmart on the left, a Borders and Best Buy across the street. This is about ¾ mile in. Turn left (south) on Perryville. One mile south, turn right (west) on Newberg road. Follow Newburg west. It becomes Broadway as you cross Alpine St.. Continue in to NIWC on the corner of Broadway and 10th street. If you miss Perryville road, continue another mile west and turn left (south) on Mulford road. Same instructions as above from there. If you miss the first US 20 exit, continue on I-90 to bypass US 20 and follow directions as in #4 (“Southeast of Rockford”).
   
    
6. Northeast of Rockford: If you are coming across Hwy 173 from Northeast Illinois, you will pass under I-90, buy you won’t be able to use it. Instead, continue to Hwy 51 which you will encounter north of Rockford. Turn left (south) on Hwy 51, and follow it through downtown Rockford. You will be on Kishwaukee St. after going through the downtown. At 1400 South you will find Broadway St. Turn left on Broadway, and go 5 blocks east to 10th St. Park in the 10th street lot. OR you may come across on Hwy 20. If you take business 20 through Belvidere, you will come into Rockford also on business 20. If you take bypass 20 around (south) of Belvidere, you will pass the Chrysler plant and arrive at Rockford also on bypass 20.
